- 24 soft caramels (unwrapped)
- 24 chocolate candies or melting wafers (milk or dark chocolate)
- Valentine’s-themed sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Prepare the pretzels: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange 24 mini pretzels in a single layer.
- Add the caramel: Place one unwrapped soft caramel on top of each pretzel.
- Bake: Bake for 4–5 minutes, just until the caramels soften (but don’t let them fully melt).
- Top with another pretzel: Remove from the oven and gently press a second pretzel on top of each softened caramel, creating a sandwich. Let cool for 5 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate: While the pretzels cool, melt the chocolate candies or wafers in the microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
- Dip and decorate: Dip half of each pretzel sandwich into the melted chocolate, then place it on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with Valentine’s-themed sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.
- Cool and serve: Let the pretzel bites sit at room temperature until the chocolate sets, or chill in the fridge for 10–15 minutes for quicker results.
