Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Mix-Ins
1 cup Valentine’s-themed candy-coated chocolates (like M&Ms)
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/4 cup Valentine’s sprinkles
Instructions
Preheat & Prepare Pan:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Combine Wet Ingredients:
In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until well combined.
Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients:
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.
Add Mix-Ins:
Fold in the candy-coated chocolates, white chocolate chips, and sprinkles.
Bake:
Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set. Do not overbake for softer cookie bars.
Cool & Cut:
Allow the cookie bars to cool completely in the pan. Use the parchment overhang to lift them out and onto a cutting board. Slice into bars and serve.
