Ingredients
-
2 cups whole milk (or milk of your choice)
-
1 cup white chocolate chips (or chopped white chocolate)
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
Whipped cream (for topping)
-
Ground cinnamon or nutmeg (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
-
In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it starts to steam. Do not let it boil.
-
Once the milk is warm, add the white chocolate chips. Stir continuously until the chocolate has completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
-
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
-
Pour the white hot chocolate into mugs.
-
Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon or nutmeg, if desired.
-
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
-
For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness.
-
You can also use white chocolate bars, chopped into small pieces, instead of chips.
-
This can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge. Simply reheat and top with whipped cream before serving.
