Description

Garlic Butter Chicken is a flavorful and easy-to-make dish, perfect for weeknight dinners. The chicken is seared to perfection in a rich garlic butter sauce, making it tender and juicy with a delicious savory flavor. Serve it with your favorite vegetables or over rice for a complete meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and Italian seasoning on both sides.
  2. Cook the chicken: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165ยฐF). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the garlic butter sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
  4. Combine the chicken and sauce: Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon the garlic butter sauce over them. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve: Garnish the chicken with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately. Pair with your favorite side dishes such as steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken thighs for chicken breasts if preferred.
  • Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to the garlic butter sauce for a hint of brightness.
  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter.
