Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and Italian seasoning on both sides.
- Cook the chicken: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165ยฐF). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the garlic butter sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
- Combine the chicken and sauce: Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon the garlic butter sauce over them. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve: Garnish the chicken with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately. Pair with your favorite side dishes such as steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken thighs for chicken breasts if preferred.
- Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to the garlic butter sauce for a hint of brightness.
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic butter.
