Ingredients
For the Dough:

2 3/4 cups (345g) all-purpose flour

1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar

1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast

1/2 cup (120ml) whole milk, warmed

1/4 cup (60ml) water, warmed

1 large egg

1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter, softened
For the Filling:

1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For the Maple Pecan Glaze:

1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter
-
1 cup (200g) brown sugar

1/4 cup (60ml) pure maple syrup

1/4 cup (60ml) heavy cream
-
1 1/2 cups (150g) pecans, chopped
Instructions

Make the Dough:
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add the warm milk, warm water, egg, and softened butter. Mix until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size. -
Prepare the Glaze:
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar, maple syrup, and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened. Pour the glaze into a greased 9ร13-inch baking dish and sprinkle with chopped pecans. -
Make the Filling:
Roll out the dough into a 12ร18-inch rectangle. Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. -
Assemble the Buns:
Roll the dough tightly into a log, starting from the long side. Cut into 12 equal slices and place them cut-side down in the prepared baking dish. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes. -
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). -
Bake:
Bake the buns for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown. Let them cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate. -
