Description

Spinach Dip Bites are delightful, bite-sized appetizers that combine the creamy richness of spinach dip with a flaky, golden crust. Theyโ€™re perfect for parties, game days, or any gathering where finger foods are a hit.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well-drained
  • 1/2 cup marinated artichoke hearts, drained and chopped (optional)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt with parsley flakes
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 (8-ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:ย Set your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
  2. Prepare the Filling:ย In a medium bowl, combine the drained spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, softened cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese (1/4 cup), minced garlic, garlic salt, and black pepper. Mix until thoroughly combined.
  3. Prepare the Dough:ย Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a lightly floured surface. If the dough has perforations, gently press them together to form a seamless sheet. Roll the dough into an approximately 8ร—12-inch rectangle.
  4. Cut the Dough:ย Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, divide the dough into 24 equal squares.
  5. Assemble the Bites:ย Lightly grease a mini muffin tin. Place one dough square into each muffin cup, pressing gently to form a small cup. Fill each cup with a teaspoon of the spinach mixture. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese evenly over the tops of the filled cups.
  6. Bake:ย Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15-17 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve:ย Remove from the oven and allow the bites to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes. Carefully transfer them to a serving platter. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Make Ahead:ย You can prepare the spinach mixture up to 24 hours in advance. Store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator until youโ€™re ready to assemble and bake the bites.
  • Storage:ย Leftover bites can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat them in a preheated oven at 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) for about 5-7 minutes, or until warmed through.
  • Variations:ย Feel free to customize the filling by adding cooked bacon bits, sautรฉed mushrooms, or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
